Also, I got a question.

When people write a story in past tense, should everything change to past tense ? (even things that hasn't happened yet?)

I mean this :
"I had to see my doctor today."
This really don't make sense to me.
I alway thought "I have to see my doctor today." Should be correct.
Please explain to me, thanks

If it hasn't happened yet, I don't suppose the past would be very logical.

If you still have to see the doctor (later) today, say, "I have to see my doctor today". People may then ask you at what time you are going to see him

I saw this in a website
"I had to see my daughter"
Is that correct ? To me that dosen't make sense...Emotion: thinking

Yes. It makes perfect sense.

You can have a feeling now that you must do something: I have to see my daughter.
Or you can report now that you had that feeling in the past: I had to see my daughter.

I think it sounds better if you say "We got to know each other "better", he helped me so much. We became best friends.
