I need some advice!

I've finished my homework, but I'm not sure with some translation sentences from my native language into English, please help me to check:

1. In Myanmar society, women had been assumed more important roles than western women.
2.One of the most estimable features of Philippine society is the royal tradition to family.
3.Thailand is the only Southeast Asian country which has never been a colony of any nation.

You don't really need western twice here. Clive was making the point that your original version did not make entirely clear whether the western women were in Myanmar society or in western society. ...more important roles than women in western society would
