I need (necessitate?) some help
a) May I change the verb “to necessitate” by the verb “to need” in the following sentences:
1a) Lack of money necessitated a change of plan.
2a) This change would necessitate starting all over again.
b) May I change the verb “to need” by the verb “to necessitate” in the following sentences:
1) I don't need your approval, thank you very much.
2) I need to think about this before I make a decision.
3) That was what I needed - strong, hot coffee.
4) Money was tight and he needed a job badly.
5) Do you think I need to go to the meeting?
6) You need to work harder if you're going to pass those exams.
7) Nobody needs feel jealous.
8) Honestly, you don't need to get changed. You look fine as you are.
9) That fence needs fixing.

"need" and "necessitate" are not interchangeable.
When you need something, you must have it. It is very important for you to have it. People need things.
"to necessitate" means "to cause to be needed", "to cause a need for".
People do not normally necessitate things. Situations or conditions necessitate actions.
