Family members usually tell us about choosing a university mayor in which we are going to gain a lot of money for our future. Which are those professions that require that guarantee? Maybe become a medical doctor, a lawyer, or an engineer, is the best choice. In this case, we notice that here in Chile these professions have a very high standard. Most of the people prefer to study these careers because these are stigmatized; this means that just people with high grades and high score in the PSU test can choose these mayors. After they finish their mayors, they will know that their average wage is going to be more than 400.000 pesos, and that their work possibilities are not left in the background as other professions. What about our decisions in relation to what we will study next? Our family cannot tell us what we should study, but they usually do and they take the decision for us. What will happen if we study the mayor that our parents have decided? Firstly, we won’t be happy or we won’t feel comfortable with the mayor; moreover, we are going to fail. Then, if we failed, we are going to feel disappointed about ourselves, and probably we are just going to stay at home doing nothing. For these reasons, is better choose the mayor that we have decided for our future, without think about what others have chose for us, or if we are going to gain a lot of money doing that. The only thing that matters is that we are going to enjoy our work.
