The diagram illustrates the annual salary for doctors and workers in other careers in seven nations in the year 2004.

Overall, doctors were paid more than workers in other jobs in all countries surveyed. In addition, it is obvious that the salary paid for labor in all employment in Switzerland and the USA was higher than that in the other nations.

Of all seven countries, the USA ranked first in the amount of money paid for both doctors and other workers, at 120000 dollars and over 40000 dollars respectively. The figure for doctors paid annually in the USA was about twice as great as that in Switzerland and France. While salary for doctors in these two nations was equal, the amount for French people working in other careers was lower than that for workers in Switzerland, at 30000 dollars and 40000 dollars respectively.

The patterns for the Czech Republic and Germany were similar, with above 60000 dollars paid for doctors and 20000 dollars for other employees. People working as doctors in Italy were paid 10000 dollars more than those in Finland, whereas the salary for workers in other employment sectors in Italy was slightly lower than the figure for Finland.
