Letter Writing

I need help with my essay. please correct. if you can.

Terry
Jones, leader of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, called
for people around the world to set fire to the Quran. Jones planned to set
ablaze thousands of copies of the Muslim Holy Book on September 11, a day
he’s dubbed International Burn a Quran Day. Jones said in an interview
that “All Muslims are not terrorist, but all terrorists are Muslims” and he is
burning the Quran for two reasons, he wants the United Stated to remember those
who were killed in September 11th terrorist attack. The second reason he wants
to send a message to radical Muslims that he does not tolerate, terrorists in
America.

When
you analyze what Jones said, that “All Muslims are not terrorist, but all
terrorists are Muslims” You will come to know that Jones is speaking from
ignorant and very insulting to Muslims. When we look at the historical records
in 19th century, we can hardly find any terrorist attacks that have
been done by Muslims. We know that in 1881 Tsar Alexander was assassinated in a
bomb blast. He was traveling in a bulletproof carriage in St. Pietersburg
Street. The first bomb kills innocent 21 bystanders. The second bomb killed him
while he was stepping out of the car. He was killed by Ignacy Hryniewiecki. He
was Anarchists. May 4, 1886, bomb blast at Haymarket Square, Chicago, during a
labor rally. 12 people were killed; one among them was a policeman. Seven
policemen were injured and they died in the hospital. The people responsible
were 8 Anarchists all of them were non-Muslims.

September 6th 1901, the US President, William McKinley, was shot
twice by an Anarchist named Leon Czolgosz. He was a non-Muslim. October 1st
1910, bomb blast in Los Angeles at Times Newspaper Building. 21 were killed.
The blast was done by 2 Christians named James and Joseph. They were union
leaders. June 28th 1914, Archduke of Austria and his wife were
assassinated which precipitated the World War I. The members of Young Bosnia
assassinated them. Most of them were Serbs, they were non-Muslims. April 16th
1925, bomb blast in St. Nedelya Church in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
10,050 were killed and 500 injured. This was the biggest terrorist attack that
was done on the soil of Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Communist Party did it. They
were non-Muslims.

October 9th1934, King
Alexander I of Yugoslavia was assassinated by a gunman by the name of Vlada
Georgieff. He was a non-Muslim. May 1st 1961, first US plane to be hijacked was
not done by a Muslim. It was done by Ramierez Ortiz. August 28th
1968, the US Ambassador to Guatemala was assassinated by a non-Muslim.
July 30th 1969, the US Ambassador to Japan was knifed by a Japanese non-Muslim.
September 3rd 1969, US Ambassador to Brazil was kidnapped by a non-Muslim.
April 19th 1995, the famous attack of the Oklahoma Bombing in which a truck
loaded with bombs ran into the federal building of Oklahoma, in which 166 were
killed and 100 were injured. Initially in the press it came as 'Middle East
Conspiracy'. Later on they came to know that it was done by two Christians
named Timothy and Terry.

July 28th 1946, the
famous bombing of King David Hotel was conducted under the leadership of
Menachem Begin. 91 were killed, out of which 28 were British, 41 Arabs, 17 Jews
and 5 others. The Ignun group dressed up as Arabs to show as though the Muslims
did this bombing. Menachem Begin was called terrorist number one by the British
government. Later on after a few years Menachem Begin the terrorist number one
became the Prime Minister of Israel and got a Noble Prize for peace. Imagine a
person who a terrorist number was getting a Noble Prize for Peace. March 20
1995, Aum Shinrikyo a Buddhist Cult used Nerve Gas in the Tokyo Subway in
which 12 people were killed and 5700 were wounded and injured.

All terrorists are Muslims? No,
that’s not even close to being true. Anyone interested in the truth can easily
find evidence to the contrary, if they are willing to look. Islam does
not teach terrorism, in fact Islam is against it. Unfortunately Islam has been
associated with terrorism and violence due to the actions of a few extreme
individuals who have taken it upon themselves to do the most heinous crimes in
the name of Islam.

Tragic events such as the attack on
the twin towers in New York, the bombings of Bali, Madrid and London are
assumed to be justified by Islam in the minds of some people. This idea has
been fueled further by many media channels which damages the good reputation of
Islam by portraying these bombers as ‘Islamists’ or ‘Jihadists’, as though they
were approved by Islam, or had any legitimate spokesman ship on behalf of
Muslims. The actions of a few individuals who happen to have Muslim names or
ascribe themselves to the Muslim faith should not be a yardstick by which Islam
is judged. For the same reason, that one would not do justice to Christianity if
it were perceived as sanctioning the genocide of the Native Americans, the
atrocities of world war II or the bombings of the IRA. To understand Islam’s
stance on terrorism, one must refer to its original sources, the Quran and the
teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which are explicit in their
prohibition of any form of injustice including that of wanton violence which
seeks to instill fear, injury or death to civilians. The Quran turns our
attention to the high value of human life, whether it is Muslim or Non-Muslim
and makes it absolutely forbidden to take an innocent life unjustly. The
gravity of such a crime is equated, in the Quran, with the killing of all
humanity. “On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any
one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the
land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life,
it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there
came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them
continued to commit excesses in the land.” (Quran 5:32 ) Not only is human life
sacred in Islam but the property, wealth, family and dignity of all individuals
in society are to be respected and protected.

I
suggest that every human being to take a chance to read the Quran. If you can’t
read at all, read a chapter or verse from it. If you have a computer, go to a
search engine site such as http://google.com/ and search for the word Quran. I
am not telling you to do that for religions purposes. The Quran is the
central religious text of Islam, which Muslims consider the verbatim word of
God, and the final divine revelation, final testament. Jones is saying that he
is going to burn a holy book of another religion to send a message to the
radical element of that religion. Jones is obviously offending everyone in that
religion. Why would he want to do that to 1.6 billion Muslims around the world?
Many Muslims were also murdered by the terrorists in the World Trade
Center, on September 11, 2001. The Quran had nothing to do with what happened
on 9/11.

Jones
said in an interview with a news reporter that though their message is radical,
it will send a clear message to the radical Islamic terrorists. The irony
is that out of the entire world
population, approximately 22% or 1.6 billion people are Muslims.
America's population is currently about 320 million of what 2.2 million are
Muslim. According to the FBI’s website from 1980 to 2005 approximately 304 acts
of terrorism have been recorded. 8% were Islamic extremist, 8% were
Jewish extremist, and another 42% were Latin Americans.

Muslims
are not terrists That means the number is so small that it is not even worth
mentioning. No one should burn the Quran, because of the September 11th
terrorist attacks. This country was created to escape religious persecution.
Burning books is anti-intellectual of knowledge and it is an act that is done
out of ignorance and fear.

Clive is correct, you need to state your thesis in the opening paragraph.

It seems to be an argumentative essay, so you need to clearly state the issue, and the position you are defending up front.

P.S. Why don't you mention Anders Behring Breivik?

Thank you, I'll try to mention the thesis statement, in the beginning. i don't know who Andrews Behring Brevik is, but i will look him up.
