I need help with a riddle that i dont get

There are three baskets. The first basket has two striped eggs. The second basket has two spotted eggs. All the baskets are labbled, but all labels are wrong. You are allowed to look into one basket, pick one egg at random, see its design and put it back into the basket, without seeing the pattern of another egg. How many such operations are necessary?
