Benefits and drawback of studying abroad

With the rapid development of society, accompanied by the continuous development of education. Studying has become not just limited to our country, but today it is easier and more popular to study abroad. There are many who choose to study abroad to gain access to more developed education in the world. Studying abroad will have advantages but also with certain drawbacks. This essay will discuss these things.

The benefits of studying abroad are plentiful. Firstly, studying abroad give students access to academic knowledge and future career as well as cultural understanding. Because prestigious universities have quality facilities and better course and teachers who are experts in their fields, with such good conditions, students' knowledge will be enhanced and expanded and will open many doors for better job opportunities in the future. Secondly, students will become more independent when they study abroad. Because they live far from their family and leave their warm nest, they have to cook, clean and pay bills by themselves. In some cases, international students also need to work part-time jobs to pay for their living expenses. For these reasons, studying abroad will make them more independent.

Nevertheless, studying abroad also has certain drawbacks. The first drawback we can see immediately is the financial problem. Because international students have to pay a lot of expenses such as school fees, accomodation, food and transportation costs. It is hard to afford the basic necessities of life and find suitable accommodations and pay bills. The language barrier is also a major problem when studying abroad. When it is impossible to fully understand the language of the country you come to study abroad, we may have difficulty communicating, making new friends and it will take time to adapt in a new environment. This lead to culture shock and affect on studying.

In conclusion, studying abroad has many advantages but also certain disadvantages. However, if we have a good plan for studying abroad, we can overcome these drawback and study better abroad.
