I need help. Please check my motivation letter.
Please help me with my letter. I was sitting for several nights writting it. It seems so bad now, I'm afraid that there is a lot of mistakes.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm writing to join the ABC grant program starting in Novemberr 2011. My career ambition is to become a highly qualified specialist in the company involved with Power Engineering.
My majors in school were Mathematics and Physics, besides I was interested in Environmental Issues. My interests were combined by Power engineering. That is why I decided to continue my academic career at Physics and Power Engineering faculty. I finished school with an average score 5 out of 5 and in June 2011 I will graduate with an engineering degree with average score 4.3. I was among the top of students during my studies. Thus postgraduate studying with following working period in ABC would be a worthy continuation of my academic career in Engineering.
I’ve chosen the field of "Instruments and Methods for Quality Control and Diagnostics" and have studied technologies and methods for quality control and protecting Atomic Power engineering objects and making such kind of objects more safety for Environment. During my studies, I explored a wide range of subjects from industrial detecting to data analysis. Having studied the specialized courses, I have possessed the foundations of nondestructive testing, data mining technologies and information evaluation. I enjoyed to use my knowledge in practice. I've used methods of Acoustic Diagnostics and Eddy Current Testing for pipes' defect detection during during my Practical training at Jule 2010. These methods are applied also in the gas, oil and in other types of engineering.
Not only practical application that matter much. It is possibility for research and innovation development that have an additional importance for me. For example, the subject of my diploma thesis is a method that wasn't studied by me previously. “Applying of holographic methods in non-destructive testing” have not considered in a wide range. I'm interested in my diploma research and I am going to present research results for review to committee of my academic Department. Study and work in a company which interested in new technological and innovation solutions is a chance to realize my research initiative to practical application. This is a concrete step would allow me to progress in Engineering.
Good academic performance is not the only indicator of my employable potential. Apart from studies, I acted in a project work of our Student Government. As a project team member I took part in planning and organization student life events such as “Camp of student activists”, “Student spring festival”, “City Youth Forum” and others. Besides, I was involved in a leadership role and was responsible not only for building and leading own team, but also distributing project assignments and responsibilities. During my leadership, I strengthened my interpersonal skills and learned how to motivate people for finding new problem solutions and how to coordinate the team work. So I would bring to the position in ABC such qualities like responsibility, enthusiasm and teamwork abilities.
Growth and progression in Engineering is a main academic priority for me. Getting more knowledge and relevant experience is the mean way to become a great specialist in this field. I wish to continue my studies in Italy because of European outstanding educational system and excellent facilities for getting fundamental engineering education. Furthermore, by studying in Italy, I will learn and appreciate another important language and culture.
Values of ABC are close to my career ambitions and I am eager to apply my academic and personal achievements for career opportunities in your Company. Not only studying, but also communication with ABC specialists will expand my concepts and skills. Besides, my international education background will add more diversity to your company. I am confident that I will reach my career and personal heights while studying and working. If I will accepted, I will do my best to meet your expectations.
