I need help on writing an intro on "The Scarlet Ibis" by James Hurst

Well I need to write a literary analysis on "The Scarlet Ibis" by James Hurst and I don't know what to write for my lead. I had a lead but it was a "negative cannotation" kind of thing and I'm out of ideas. Here's what my intro looks like with my teacher's suggestions in it.

There are times in life- where people are compared to animals. (My only issue with this idea for an attention getter is that it seems to have an awfully negative connotation...when I think of a person compared to an animal it is not a compliment...besides, Doodle isn't compared to an animal, the beauty of Doodle is symbolized by the SI...maybe) It may not make any sense to how they are related to each other, but the smallest details could explain it all.(IT all?...what does that mean?) The short story, "The Scarlet Ibis," by James Hurst, the little details that are given helps us discover how animals and humans could be compared to each other. In this short story, Doodle, the narrator's disabled younger brother, goes through a "development program" his brother created to help him do physical activities just like other kids. (yikes...hard to follow your explanation) One day, a scarlet ibis from far away came and died in their yard and later on that same day Doodle also dies. In "The Scarlet Ibis," Hurst uses symbolism to reveal the similarities between Doodle and the scarlet ibis.(How does your plot synopsis relate to your thesis?)

any ideas on how i could do these things?
