Letter Writing

I need help for writing an effective letter and I request help from someone

I wrote a short script to request help from someone. Please help me to write a good letter free of error in writing and grammar.

I am Reza. I am a student at a university. Many Years ago, You and et.al. have written an article about Genetic Algorithm and Quantum Computing with the title "A New ...". I am interested in this subject and I have some question about your work. I would be grateful if you could help me. Thank you for taking this into consideration.

Dear TALBI, Address him by his title and family name, eg Dear Dr Smith I am Reza. Don't say this. The convention in English is that your name just appears at the bottom of the letter.

I am Reza. Don't say this. The convention in English is that your name just appears at the bottom of the letter.

I am a student at a university. Be more specific. eg Are you a post-graduate student? A PhD candidtate? In what faculty?
