I need advice with my thesis statement please :)
This are my assigned topic
1.)How are urban spaces influenced by activist?
2.) Are the effects of gentrification positive or negative for the city?
and my thesis statement are :
1.) Using media in protecting urban spaces is an efficient tool for activist because it promotes public engagement and non-violent activism
2.) Gentrification is an effective urban planning strategy because it minimizes the growth or urban slums and prevents crime.
What do you think?? is there a room for improvement?

Do you think 'influenced by' means 'used by'? I don't. I'd talk about how activists cause changes to public spaces (eg by causing there to be a greater police presence).

yah i was thinking of "used by"
like for example how activist incorporates media or artwork as a way to spread their message to the public.
They go to the streets and inform the people about certain issues like the occupy wall street

My advice is that you need to think carefully about the wording of the topic you have been given. In particular, you need to review the meaning of the verb 'influence'.
