i need a little help

i'm trying to write something about my friend and what i'm trying to say is something like "and I want to wrap my hands around the neck of the person that made her believe that the reflection of herself in the mirror could be anything but perfect"
i just want to confirm whether or not the sentence "made her believe that the reflection of herself in the mirror could be anything but perfect" means that some person made her believe that her reflection is far from perfect, beautiful, good looking, accepting, that sort of thing. please help me.
