In the movie 'Peter Rabbit', Thomas talks to Bea:

Thomas: Is that a two-winged flying bird up there? I must mark it down.

Bea: Where?

I don't get what Thomas means.

First, what does he mean by "a two-winged flying bird"? Isn't all birds "two-winged" by definition?

And what does he mean by 'I must mark it down'?
