Please explain me what does "heed its call" mean in:

"The spirit realm calls me more often than it did before. I must heed its call and relate to my people what the Great Spirit has shown me."

I see. However, I still have got one tiny problem with "its call".
Does the shaman speak about one particular call of the Great Spirit or its calls in general?

It says in the text that "it calls me more often than it did before". I get the impression that the same call is repeated. Others may have other interpretations.

Cool Breeze, thank you. In fact, I think the same, but the second part of the sentence stops me from being absolutely sure.
"I must heed its call and relate to my people what the Great Spirit has shown me." The second part is about the vision he describes above. Or am I wrong?
