I missed nothing vs I had missed nothing

I am trying to say that during my holidays I did not get any emails of importance, so I did not miss anything important while I was on my holidays. Do I write:

"During my holiday in Spain last week, I did not receive any emails about my work. I missed nothing."

OR

"During my holiday in Spain last week, I did not receive any emails about my work. I had missed nothing."

Any help is much appreciated.
