The Promises

You said, you’d be online that night,

But you didn’t show up.

You said, you’d call me everyday just to say take care,

But my cell phone wouldn’t ring.

You set a date for us, to prove that, not yet over,

But you’re just like a vanishing shadow that I couldn’t see.

And still I said its ok. I won’t give him up.

Just pretend that were ok.

You said, you’ll love me forever,

But you didn’t mean it.

You said, you still care

But I couldn’t feel it.

Maybe this relationship its not gonna work out

I gave you enough time to prove it, so I think its over.

I never changed nor hate you.

I’m just tired of pretending that I’m ok.

You said you’d be on line that night, But you didn’t show. You said you’d call me every day-- My cell phone wouldn’t glow. You set a date for us to prove That we were not yet free, But you’re just like a vanished ghost That I cannot see.

  • You said you’d be on line that night, But you didn’t show.
  • You said you’d call me every day-- My cell phone wouldn’t glow.
  • You set a date for us to prove That we were not yet free, But you’re just like a vanished ghost That I cannot see.
  • And still I said it is OK, I will not give him up.
  • Just pretend that were OK, And pass another cup.

You said you’d be on line that night,

But you didn’t show.

You said you’d call me every day--

My cell phone wouldn’t glow.

You set a date for us to prove
That we were not yet free,

But you’re just like a vanished ghost
That I cannot see.

And still I said it is OK,
