I made /i have made

Hello !

i was wondering why is it correct to say " i have made a decision" and why is it wrong to say " i have made this for you "

how does "have" work followed by a verb in the past

Both of the sentences are fine. There is nothing wrong with 'I have made this for you'. 'Made' is not past tense; it is the past participle, which is used with have/has to form the present perfect verb form.
