I listen/will listen to everything

Hello,
Is it true that the second sentence sounds odd?
- What kind of music do you like?
- I listen to everything.

For some reason I disagree that "I will listen to everything" is the only option.

Thank you.

"I listen to everything" is a good sentence, but it certainly is not the only way to express that idea. Of course, it is not the only option, but that doesn't make it wrong. I like all kinds of music.

Actually I was referring to the other sentence. I heard a friend of mine say: "I will listen to everything". He said that the omission of "will" would make the sentence sound odd. I don't know why.
