"I like to think..."

I've been googling, and looking it up in the dictionary but just can't find the asnwer. It seems to be a very common usage. (So common that there's not explanation for it...) Does anyone happen to know what it means?

"I like to think I help people learn English." Does "I like to think" mean "I'm happy to know...?"

Thanks a lot for helping...^^

Hi when we say "I like to think something..."it means that I think something positive about myself but I am modest about it or that I think maybe not everyone will agree with me, for example,

A "How good are you at playing the guitar?''

B "I like to think I'm quite good at playing the guitar"- this means B does think he's good at playing guitar but is being modest, he doesn't wan
