Please advise which of the following is correct:

If both are fine, what is the difference in usage and in meaning?

Hi,

A. I like this one most.

B. I like this one the most.

I'd say B is grammatically correct. However, in speaking it's not uncommon to omit 'the' and use A. I wouldn't say that in speech, that's wrong.

Other people here may offer you a different opinion.

I am confused. Isn't 'most' an adverb modifying the verb 'like' in the sentence? How can an adverb have an article?
