Is the above sentence semantically and grammatically all right? If no, can you give any suggestions and explain what I did wrong?

It should have been:

I like playing basketball and the guitar

Now, what is wrong?

that's another kettle of fish. It is correct grammatically but dubious semantically, since and requires parallelism of the conjoints:

eg I like playing basketball and tennis.

In your case, it is virtually essential that you reword the original idea:

I'm fond of basketball; besides, I like playing the guitar.
