Hi

It's grammatically OK but, as said, it's difficult to judge, without context:

- I don't know who will be the person to stand up to the bullies at this school
- I know who can be

Dear CalifJim and dave_anon:

Thanks for your help.

The context is :

"I don´t know of any actress who can play this role."
"I know who can be"
"Who?"
"My friend, Kim"

Thanks.

Nikitus"I don´t know of any actress who can play this role.""I know who can be"
That's wrong.

— I don't know of any actress who can play this role.
I know who can. (No "be".)

I agree

If the answer echoes the question, then it will work ...

- I don't know of any actress who could be Ophelia
- I know who can be
