I know it's wrong and I know it's easy.

Embracing your thoughts, frears, and feelings feelings is a lot likes jumping in a pool. It's a shock but it gets easier with time.

Posted on Facebook, I was just saying that feelings cant be followed by "is a lot like" not to mention the commas and "feelings feelings" he still states its correct.

There's nothing wrong with "Embracing your feelings is a lot like etc."
The gerund "embracing" works as a singular noun, requiring a singular verb.

Swimming is fun.
Swimming in lakes is fun.

Of course you can't say, "My feelings is a lot like yours." In this case, the subject of the clause is plural.
