I keep reading this sentence, seems somethings wrong

Could you please tell me if these is anything wrong with this sentence please?

1 There was no moire buzz or hype accompanying any players arrival to the league than Norris Cole's arrival. His arrival had the most buzz.

I'd say the problem is that NorrisCole's arrival is not a buzz.

Try, "There was no greater buzz or hype accompanying any player's arrival than that caused by Norris Cole's arrival."

Is the "that" referring to the "hype"?
What about

There was no greater buzz or hype accompanying any player's arrival than the hype accompanying Norris Cole's arrival."

Why Greater and not More?
