I just wanted to scape!

In the sentence "I just wanted to scape!" is the grammar correct?

Context: Mark is running behind John. (because Mark is chasing John)

John throws a banana to Mark.

When Mark faces John about the banana, John says:

"I just wanted to scape!" because John feels intimidated by Mark
