I just took my TOEFL exam and I have confusion between raw score and unofficial score. Can anyone explain me its difference?

Exciting updates are coming to the TOEFL iBT test format! Starting from July 26, 2023, significant changes will be implemented, providing test-takers with a more streamlined and efficient testing experience. Here’s what to expect:

Key Changes to the TOEFL iBT Test Format:

  • Overall Test Duration: The total test time will be reduced from 3 hours to 2 hours.
  • Format for Tests Prior to July 26: The current format will remain in place for tests taken on July 25, 2023.

Detailed Changes:

  1. Writing Section:The independent writing task will be replaced with a new task called 'Writing for an Academic Discussion,' which focuses on writing about online class discussions. This task will be completed in 10 minutes.
  2. Reading Section:The number of reading passages will be reduced to 2, with 20 questions to answer in 35 minutes.
  3. Listening Section:The listening section will now feature 3 lectures and 2 conversations, totaling 28 questions to be completed in 36 minutes.
  4. Speaking Section:No changes will be made to the speaking section. It will continue to be 16 minutes long, allowing you to demonstrate your English speaking proficiency.

Additional Benefits:

  • Streamlined Instructions: Improved instructions will facilitate quicker navigation through the test.
  • Unscored Questions Removed: Questions that do not impact your score will be eliminated.
