I hope to see you again soon

When I am not sure when I will see a person again, can I say this sentence, should I add again to it?

I hope to see you soon.

Top answer

"Soon" is not right in this context because it suggests that you anticipate seeing the person in the near future. You'd say instead: I hope to see you again.
