Some education systems make students focus on certain subjects at the age of 15, while others require students to study a wide range of subjects until they leave school. What are the benefits of each system? Which do you think is a better educational system?

Some high school learning program focus on certain subjects while others demand students to study a wide range of subjects. Both of them have their own advantages.

Focusing on certain subjects has specific benefits. First of all, students are allowed to chose subjects that interesting to them. Therefore, they can learn them passionately and study them in a deeper understanding. Besides, subjects which is considered to be less important can be put aside because they are not compulsory. This helps students not to waste their time and effort in learning those.

However, learning a wide range of subjects can also be very helpful. Learning both logical and social subjects can help students to fully develop themselves. By learning math, chemistry or physics, students can cultivate critical thinking and intelligence. But when they also learn literature they can develop their personality, create their motivation which propel them to success.

Each education system has its unique advantages and disadvantages. Students chose the first one can lack of certain skills and knowledge in different subjects which can be very crucial for later career. On the other hand, the second one can withdraw the students since it require them to invest a lot of resources and it is unlikely that everyone can be good at all subjects.

In my opinion, education system should allows students to chose their favourite subjects so that they can spend more time on following their passion. However they still have to learn other subjects but with a reasonable amount. By combining both of them, students can fully develop their personality and cultivate intelligence.
