In recent years, improving health has gained popularity. Some believe that the more sports facilities, the better public health. However, other people suppose that this kind of measure only influences some specific groups and other solutions are much more beneficial.
On the one hand, public health has been enhanced since it is showed an upward trend in the number of sports amenities. First, there are lots of facilities in the parks or in residential quarters, which remind people of activities to keep fit and stay healthy. Second, gym classes offer a great deal of options for each individual. This means members can choose to work intensely on one part of the body, such as abs, leg or chest muscles or to enhance all of the body by combining a group of facilities.
On the other hand, I believe that this method would have little benefits on the citizens’ health. This can be explained by the fact that a majority of member find it hard to maintain this good habit due to a hectic schedule and the far distance, which cause many absences reducing the quality of lessons. Moreover, raising public awareness by launching health protection campaigns to educate citizens about potential health problems is also a greatly effective action. People, therefore, are equipped with sufficient basic knowledge related to this issue.
To conclude, while some say that the gradual increase of sports facilities is the most important factor influencing public health, I personally believe that raising people knowledge about the problem bring more positive impacts
