I hope I will be the one

1) We are going to toss a coin. I hope I will be the one to win.
2) We are going to toss a coin. I hope I am the one to win.

Are these both correct?
Is there a difference in their meanings?

Does '2' mean I hope I am the one who is predestined to win? The 'am' makes me get that impression. It is as if the outcome is determined already although the coin has not been tossed yet.

Gratefully,
Navi.
