In the context: After completing our discussion with the prospective client, Can I tell like this below?

I hope we had an effective conversation. Let's connect together in the next phase of the discussion soon.


Is this "I hope we had" correct?

The first sentence is OK. In full, "I hope that we had ...". In careful writing my personal preference is to include "that", but widely it would be omitted.

"connect together" is not right here. "next phase" sounds as if the discussion is pre-structured into phases. It could be that you just mean e.g. "Let's get together again soon to discuss things further".
