"I heard you was talking trash"

Hi

In Kanye West / Rihanna / Paul Mccartney's song "Fourfiveseconds", Kanye West sings: "I heard you was talking trash", I think this is probably incorrect, considering that when you use "You" you should use "Were", right? So, why did he choose to use "You was"?
