I heard these 4 sentences in a movie

I heard these 4 sentences in a movie, they all seemed wrong, yet it was USA movie.

Can you tell me if I am right that these aren't correct?

We met in weird circumstances.
He has become increasingly agoraphobic.
It is a shame you are leaving just as we started dating.
For no practical reason more than it seemed like the right thing to do, we cleaned the house.

Umm..... They sounded ok to me as a dialog. I have no problem understanding them.
