I heard some guys feel weird

"I heard some guys feel weird when their girlfriend pays."

I saw the sentence in a textbook and I analyzed it this way

'feel weird...' functions as an object complement like "I heard her sing or singing" but the textbook says some guys feel weird...is an object and a noun clause like I heard (that) I heard some guys...

And I was wondering if there is a meaning difference between two different analyses?

1) I heard people like money. (like money is an object complement)
2) I heard that people like money.

What do you native English speakers think?

Thank you so much as usual in advance.

My computer got viruses so I hope nothing bad from it has affected this website so far.
