"I haven't been to Japan for 10 years." ???

Hi guys,

As native speakers, which of the following two sentences do you consider standard?

1. I haven't been to Japan for 10 years.

2. It's been 10 years since I last went to Japan.

Or both?

Thanks!

I believe that most Americans would prefer the preposition "in" :

I haven't been to Japan in 10 years.

Thank you.
