Essay & Composition Writing

I have written an answer on Non-Alignment Movement. Can you please check its grammar and tone?

I'm preparing for Government jobs and in my country we have to go through a series of exams for that. A question was asked:

Discuss the relevance of Non-Alignment Movement in modern time.

and here is what I've written:

The policy of Non-Alignment is one of the key defining policy of third world countries, and still relevant, even after the formal end of Cold War.

Cold War was a war of ideology between two cold countries, USA and USSR, but that was not the reason for it to be christened so. Cold War was mainly about the spread if not conversion, of Capitalist ideology by USA and Communist ideology by USSR, but eventually it revolutionised into something far more complicated. Therefore, the disintegration of USSr in 1991 concluded only the formal end of Cold War, the war simply took a new course.

The Non-Alignment Movement was an initiative of India, Yugoslavia, and Egypt was to stay away from this bi-polar war and focus on their own re-construction (but that wouldn’t mean they shall not preach against the bad consequences of that war). The Non-Alignment formally began in 1961.

With the end of Cold War in 1991, some honourable experts argued that NAM has become irrelevant as the world was no longer bi-polar. But, nonetheless, the world is still bi-polar, as it can very well be seen with sanctions presented in UN assemblies. NAM finds its relevance by abstaining from vote in these proposals.

NAM is also relevant in its trade relations, Non_Aligned countries do not depend entirely on USA or Russia for their international trade, nor do they undergo any binding treaty with them.

Thus, Non-Alignment Movement is quintessential to third world countries foreign policy and plays a major role in international politics.

I tried to maintain a tone that Samuel Beckett employed in Molly, that is a bit humorous. Can I please have my grammar checked and some constructive comments on my writing toen?
