I have written a story. Please check it for grammatical errors.

Jimmy wells and Bob was fast friend. They lived in New York. Jimmy was 20 year old and Bob was 18 year old. Jimmy was honest and dutiful. He did not want to leave New York. Bob was ambitious and only money was important for him. One day at pm they ate food together in restaurant and promised each other that after twenty years, they will have meet at same time and place. Bob went to Chicago and earned more money. Jimmy lived in New York and became a soldier. After 20 year Bob returned from Chicago to met his old friend. He reached at sharp 10:00 pm on the same spot. He struck a match-stick to light a cigar. In the light of match-stick , Jimmy recognised him. Bob was criminal whom Chicago police want to arrested him. Jimmy did not understand what to do ? He thought of a way. he told another soldier who wore simple clothes to arrested Bob. Bob was arrested by another soldier. Hence Jimmy completed his duty.
