I have problem with verbs in the following sentence

Do the verbs work properly in this sentence?

It is a pity that my child will have to give up his might when he becomes a man.

Top answer

The sentence is correct but I don't understand your meaning. 'His might' I think isn't quite as you understand it to be. Might means strenght.
