I have need a better word for cabinets

Hello people's,

I'm a dutch writer and now i'm starting writing in the english language, but I have a probleme:

In this senctence I need to write: Cabinets, but its not good enough. Knows anyone a better word for me:

cabinets staggered on their foundations, fell over and spread a sound that resounded throught the whole room.
