I have had or I had - Difference

Could anyone please explain me the difference between these two sentences

1. At least you got a final message I have had friends who straight up disappeared after a while.

2. At least you got a final message I had friends who straight up disappeared after a while.

Thanks

The first suggests that there have been several instances of friends disappearing over the course of the past years. The second suggests a one-time past event where several friends disappeared. By the way, you need a period here: At least you got a final message .
