I have got to it

I have got to it.

Is this sentence correct?

If yes, how would you read it? I don't have no more context, but I have heard such a sentence the other day.

Yes - it means that I have been busy but have finally managed to do something that was waiting to be done.

Thank you Feebs11.

I know we say, "I have got down to it" for that. So I think we can omit "down" in spoken English. Am I right?

Both sentences would be accceptable in spoken English. Both mean the same.
