I have been using the word "Reference(s)" at the end of the something I write

I have been using the word "Reference(s)" at the end of the something I write to mention the sources I use while writing. Someone was suggesting that I should use the word "Citation(s)" instead. Which one is better, and do you have any other suggestions? Please let me know. Thanks a lot.
