I have been teaching vs i have teached

Good morning / evening :

i still cant understand what is the best to describe an action that goes from the past up to the present moment.

some people use ( i have been teaching ) and some ( i have teached )

so what is the best to describe something from the past and still doing it ?

and what is the best to describe something from the past and finished it ?
