I have been knowing or I know?

Hi teachers,

one friend on FB wrote me a message regarding my friendship with a a guy called Emil and I would like to reply the following " Yes, you are right, I have been knowing Emil for a long time" or "I know Emil for a long time" which one is correct? I am almost sure the first one. ?

'know' is a non-progressive verb. That means you can't use it in the tenses that require the form with -ing.

I have known Emil for a long time is the only way you can do this.

am knowing, is knowing, was knowing, were knowing, has been knowing, etc. are all wrong.
