I have an admit from a German university but my IELTS will expire during the visa processing time for Germany. Do I need to retake the IelTS? Can my visa be rejected if it expires during the process?

Did you know that receiving a different IELTS score on a retake could impact your visa application?

Many visa applications require a valid IELTS score within two years of the test date. If your score expires before you apply, you'll need to retake the test. Additionally, a lower score on a retake might suggest that your English proficiency has not improved since your previous test, potentially complicating your visa approval.

To minimize risks, make sure you are well-prepared by practicing regularly and taking mock tests to identify and address your strengths and weaknesses. It’s advisable to schedule your retake a few months after your initial test to give yourself adequate time to enhance your English skills.

On the day of the test, stay confident and give it your best effort. Even if your retake score differs from your previous one, it is still possible to secure your visa approval with proper preparation and a strong application.
