I have a wife....

Hi, everyone!

How about this sentence, "I have a wife" ?

Even though "wife" is a countable noun, in this case, it shoud be wrong one, I guess. I guess it should be, "I have wife", because if "I have a wife" is correct, that will imply that I can have multiple wives.

Am I making a correct guess?

You are incorrect. A singular countable noun requires a determiner of some sort. I have a head, I have a heart, I have a wife, I have a car, I have a headache.
