I have a question for Clive

'If I won $10 million dollars, I would like to buy Clive a new car.'

Hello, Clive. This is the sentence you used as an example in 2007 and I was wondering if 'would like to' here does not mean 'want', right? Then how do I understand the phrase? It still has the meaning of 'like', not 'want'?

Thank you so much as usual and have a good day.

Thank you so much and then 'would like' always has the meaning of 'want' and we can say that 'would like' is a more polite one than 'want' all the time, right? Or is there a case where we use the phrase for other meanings
And I just searched for it and found it yesterday

Hi,

I would like a Coke. This is a polite way of requesting a Coke.

I want a Coke. This is not polite. It sounds too direct and too forceful.

( In both cases, you can add more politeness by adding 'please'. )

Why is 'win' used instead of 'won'?

It's the "first conditional": if-clause in the present, result clause in the present, future, or command form.
If you won [ were to win ] the lottery, what would you do?
If you had won the lottery, what would you have done?
