I have a question concerning the verb 'know', please

Hi there teachers,

I have a question concerning the verb 'know', please. As far as I know, we cannot use the verb know in a 'continuous' tense, so If I'm right, the following sentence should be wrong/incorrect.

- I have been knowing him for two years.

That is an incorrect sentence. It should written thus: I have known him for two years; right, teachers? But can we use the verb know in a continuous tense like this (If I want to say that I'm gathering information about her)?

- I am knowing ABOUT her.

Thank you all.
