I have a new job that starts tomorrow

Hello
I'm confused with the sentence below. Why don't people use "will" before "starts" when speaking about "tomorrow"? This sentence sounds right to me, but I can't explain to my Japanese friend why.

I have a new job that starts tomorrow.

Thank you.
